DALLAS (August 24, 2011) – Fusable Business Media & Information today introduced Intersection 2012, an all-encompassing trucking convention developed to attract participants from all segments of the industry, including on-highway and vocational fleet executives, owner-operators, drivers, dealers, OEMs, suppliers and associations.
“For several years we have been working to make Dallas the destination for all things trucking,” says Alan Sims, vice president and executive director of Fusable’s Events Division. “Intersection 2012 builds on the momentum created by adding the Commercial Vehicle Outlook Conference, developed last year for fleet executives, dealers and suppliers, and the Successful Dealer Development sessions, which begin this year and target truck and trailer dealers, to the foundation built by the Great American Trucking Show.”
Going forward, the Great American Trucking Show, Commercial Vehicle Outlook Conference and the new Successful Dealer Development workshops will retain their own identities and branding, but will fall under the Intersection umbrella. In addition, a wide range of existing and prospective Dallas-based meetings and events will continue to be developed in conjunction with industry associations, including: Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association, Texas Motor Transportation Association, Truckload Carriers Association, American Truck Dealers, National Trailer Dealers Association and Texas Truck Dealers.
“We believe Intersection 2012 will benefit exhibitors by enabling them to exhibit a wider array of products and showcase them to multiple audiences,” says Jeff Mason, Fusable senior vice president, trucking. “They will save time and money by achieving multiple marketing goals with one all-encompassing event.” Attendees will also be able to maximize their networking, educational and buying opportunities, Mason says, by participating in the trade show, conferences, workshops and association meetings – all within a few days time and in one central location.
Dallas is an ideal location for this broad-based event, Sims says, because it is centrally located, easily accessible from any U.S. city and affordable for both exhibitors and attendees. And in 2012, a world-class 1,000-room Omni Hotel will open adjacent to the Dallas Convention Center, providing another excellent venue for additional meetings and social events.
