RigDig Address Type Product Update

Feature Overview

On August 25, 2025, RigDig added a new feature set named “Address Type”. This new feature helps identify if a prospect is located at a commercial or residential address. This feature can be seen on RigDig profiles and in the search filters menu, allowing RigDig users to filter out residential or commercial addresses in their search to find truck operators. RigDig uses data from the USPS to determine if an address is commercial or residential.

This new feature is designed to reduce user’s effort and manual steps outside of RigDig to build targeted lists for in the field visits by more easily filtering and identifying which prospects are at commercial addresses.

Customer Insights & Challenges:

Before the launch of this new feature, users prospecting to visit motor carrier fleets and owner-operators on site at a physical location had challenges figuring out if the address they were looking at was a person’s house or a business address. It is common for owner-operators and small fleets to list their residential address as their primary business address on their MCS-150 form for the USDOT. For obvious reasons, these salespeople do not want to show up at someone’s house. The new RigDig “Address Type” feature will help users plan and prioritize which prospects to visit and which to call.

Especially critical for users on the RigDig mobile app and users who travel in the field to visit customers and use RigDig to plan those trips.

Before the launch of this new feature, RigDig users had to zoom in on the pin map view for every prospect they considered visiting and then switch the map to satellite mode to see if the location was a business or residential address. Another way that users would accomplish this is to copy the property address from RigDig to another browser tab to look the physical location up in Google Maps or an equivalent to find out if the property was commercial or residential.

This new feature is included for all RigDig subscribers, for any subscription type.

Benefits of using the new Address Type Feature:

  • Users will save time by being able to quickly filter prospect lists down to the type of address they are looking for instead of having to investigate each prospect one by one using a map tool.
  • Create higher quality targeted lists. Split prospects for campaigns/blitz/strategies for:
    • Call campaigns (where addresses are residential properties)
    • Onsite visits (where addresses are commercial properties)

FAQ

When will the “Address Type” feature be available in RigDig?

The web app feature was released on August 25th, 2025. The mobile app feature will be released in September 2025.

Will all RigDig users have access to the new “Address Type” feature?

Yes. This new feature is included for all RigDig subscribers, for any subscription type.

How can I increase the number of RigDig licenses my organization has?

If you need additional mobile licenses or standard web user licenses, contact your Fusable Client Success representative or email [email protected].

Where does the Address Type information come from?

As part of RigDig’s address verification process against US Postal Code (USPS) standards, a Residential Business Delivery Indicator is applied to distinguish between residential and commercial addresses. This field will only be populated where an address can be verified.

Why do some records not have an Address Type?

Address Type is populated as a part of RigDig’s address standardization process using USPS delivery standards. Addresses are labeled as commercial or residential property where available.

If no type is available (ex: no icon is shown on the profile) then it is likely that:

  • The address cannot be verified.
  • The address is not in the US.
  • The address could be verified but USPS does not have a delivery type assigned to it.

Why are there so many Residential addresses in my dataset?

It is common for owner-operators and small fleets to operate their businesses out of their residential location. They will list their residential address as their “Principal Place of Business” on a MCS-150 form for the USDOT.

Instead of planning a field visit to prospects with a residential address, try engaging with these fleets and owner-operators that meet your other targeting criteria with a phone call.

Where can I use the Address Type in RigDig?

  • Users of the RigDig Web application can use the Address Type filter in Equipment and Activity searches.
  • Users of the RigDig Mobile application can use the Address Type filter in the Explore feature.
  • Within the web and mobile application, RigDig users can find the Address Type icon on Prospect Profiles.

Can I export Address Type?

  • This feature release adds Address Type to the RigDig platform and mobile app as filters and on the Prospect Profile only. The “Address Type” data field  is not available in export at this time.
  • In order to only export records with a specific Address Type, apply the relevant filter before exporting.
  • When a user prints a PDF of a Prospect Profile, the PDF will include an Address Type icon.
