Construction Equipment Consumption Up 24% in April

In April, consumption of new construction equipment increased 24.2% compared to April 2013. This continues a trend of April double digit growth year-over-year since 2010. Additionally, as of Q1 2014, sales are up 17.5% compared to the same period last year.

As a result, equipment consumption is now 63% of the peak April volume set in 2006. And for the first time since 2008, equipment sales are above the April 10 year average.
